Mother's Day

I've just returned from a weekend spent with my parents, a visit timed for Mother's Day. I am reminded how precious time is with family and with my lovely mother, or mam as we say in the North. Mine is the one person I turn to for advice that I trust implicitly, she always seems to have an uncanny and slightly psychic ability to understand the goings on in my life, I have to say she is probably the wisest woman I know. And doesn't she look so beautiful in this photo? This was taken professionally in her late teens and is so reminiscent of the time.
