YSL Auction

This week saw a piece of history in the art world, where the art collection of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge set a new record for a single-owner auction, selling for 206.15 million euro (approx £183.41 million/$266.74 million). Starting on 23rd February by Christie's Auctions and held in the Royal Palais in Paris, this was a momentous occasion for anyone interested in art. As well as being one of the greatest designers ever, this collection proved that YSL and his partner had, as you would imagine, an impeccable eye for collecting some great pieces of history.
